Rustic Industrial Bookcase with Staggered Display Shelves

Give your book collection a more interesting backdrop

This rustic industrial bookcase turns everyday storage into a display with character. Staggered shelves and offset vertical dividers create a mix of tall, short, wide and narrow compartments rather than identical rows. Brown wood-look boards contrast with the black metal outline, bringing warmth and definition to a living room, study or reading corner.

Different spaces for different pieces

Not everything on a bookshelf is the same height. The SF-01 makes room for that variety: use taller openings for a vase or sculptural ornament, smaller sections for upright books, and wider shelves for horizontal stacks or framed photographs. The stepped arrangement lets you build a display around the pieces you own instead of trying to fit them into uniform cubes.

Place books together in one section and leave space around a favourite object in another. The dividers give each group a visual boundary, while the open back lets your wall colour show through. It works well as a decorative bookcase beside a reading area or as open storage for books and personal pieces in a home office.

An open frame with an industrial finish

The straight black metal side frames keep the overall silhouette simple, allowing the irregular shelf layout to stand out. Rustic brown grain detailing adds a warmer contrast. There are no cupboard doors or drawers, so this design suits items you want visible and accessible rather than concealed household clutter.

• Staggered shelf arrangement: Mixed-height openings accommodate a variety of books and display pieces.
• Offset vertical dividers: Separate groups of items and create the geometric pattern.
• Open-back design: Keeps the wall visible behind the display.
• Metal side frames: Outline the unit with horizontal connecting rails.
• Adjustable foot pads: Help level the bookcase on your floor.

Plan your display

Measure your available wall space and check the compartment clearances for taller objects before ordering. The varied openings are not interchangeable with equally sized shelf cubes. Use in a dry indoor space, and keep heavier books and objects on the lower shelves. The wood grain is a decorative finish on particle board, not solid timber.

Assembly and care

Supplied flatpacked for assembly. Follow the included instructions, secure all connections and level the feet before loading. Secure the bookcase to a suitable wall with appropriate anti-tip fixings before use, choosing fixings suited to your wall type. Do not allow children to climb on the shelves or side rails.

Wipe with a soft, lightly damp cloth and dry promptly. Avoid abrasive cleaners and prolonged moisture, and use a waterproof saucer beneath plant pots. Books, plants and decorative accessories shown in the images are not included.
